The CRTC’s rule # 2011-191 stipulates: “These measures will allow the new service provider chosen by the customer to terminate on behalf of the customer the services it receives from its current provider. The customer may still terminate his services himself, if he prefers, and may continue to receive offers from the current service provider.”

What is a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP)?
A DRP describes how an organization can resume work after an unplanned incident impacting its IT systems. A DRP is tailored to the specific business needs, including how long the business can afford to wait before resuming normal operations, and how much data it can afford to lose in the process. Basic DRP include data backup systems (3-2-1 backup), virtual servers or secondary data-centers and documented recovery processes. Incidents like fire, flood or theft may impact the equipment, or may only impact your data: disk failure, viruses, cyberattacks, ransomware, etc.
What is a 3-2-1 backup strategy?
A 3-2-1 backup is a simple and reliable backup strategy ruling: Keep 3 copies of your data (one production copy + two copies), Store the copies on 2 different types of media (HDD, Tapes, Cloud) , 1 copy should be stored offsite. Example: application data on your PC, one copy on local backup on NAS or external HDD, second copy on Cloud storage.
